The DuBois Fire Department is a 100% volunteer organization comprised of area men and women ready to
answer the call for help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year.  The department operates six
engines, one truck, and one rescue out of five fire stations spread out across the city.  In 1998 the DuBois
Fire Department received a Public Protection Classification (PPC) rating of 1 by the Insurance Service
Office (ISO).  The department became only the second volunteer fire department in the nation to receive
a PPC rating of 1 and is the only fire department, career or volunteer, in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
with a PPC rating of 1.  The DuBois Fire Department is always looking for dedicated volunteers to serve the
