The mission of the DuBois City Police Department is to affirmatively promote, preserve, and provide
as much as practicable given existing resources, a feeling of safety and security among all persons
within our agency's jurisdiction and to assist other law enforcement agencies when required.

The DuBois City Police Department consists of a Chief, two Corporals, 13 full-time patrol officers, 3 
part-time officers and an administrative secretary.  Two officers are assigned as School Resource 
Officers (SRO) for the DuBois Area School District , one at the High School and one at the Middle School.

The department has officers active in Criminal Investigations, 
Forensics, Drug and DUI Task Force Activities, Wire Tap Qualified, Computer Crimes, Firearms and 
Less Lethal Weapons Instructors, First Aid/CPR and a Bicycle Patrol during the summer months.

The department has eight patrol vehicles and covers a jurisdiction of approximately 3.7 square miles, 
which is home to 7794 residents, and a population that rises significantly during business 
hours due to the DuBois area drawing people from several surrounding counties on a daily basis.
