The mission of the DuBois City Police Department is to affirmatively promote, preserve, and provide as much
as practicable and given existing resources, a feeling of security and safety among all persons within our
agency's jurisdiction and to assist other law enforcement angencies when required.

The DuBois City Police Department consists of a Chief, Sergeant, 10 patrol officers, several part-time officers,
and an administrative secretary.  Two officers are assigned as School Resource Officers for the DuBois Area
School District during the school year.  One is assigned to the DuBois Area High School and the other to the
DuBois Area Middle School.  The department is active in criminal investigations, forensics, MCSAP, Emergency
Response Team (ERT), drug task force, wire tap qualified, computer crimes, firearms instructors, less letha
instructors, first aid and CPR instructors, and bicycle patrol.

The department has six marked patrol cars, two unmarked cars, and a bicycle patrol.  Officers patrol 3.7 
square miles, home to over 8,000 residents, and a population that rises significantly during the work week.
